Everybody wants to be a superhero. Yeah! In the physical boundaries of reality it seems impossible and the movie clearly demonstrates that. In the real world the wimps and the bad guys really have a disparity and that was what happened to the hero.
This film is another comic book adaptation which is really not a bad thing. The protagonist Kick Ass got his ass kicked numerous times and that did not stop him from becoming a celebrity of sorts. What he lacked in training he made up in will power.

Even with all the plot focused on the life of Kick Ass, the character Hit Girl outshone everyone else. ChloĆ« Grace Moretz’s performance is really outstanding and she could be the next Dakota Fanning. Add her performance in 500 Days of Summer and Diary of A Wimpy Kid and she could be a marquee child actress. Heck, she could even start a new genre of pre-adolescent crime fighting criminal killing movies.
Overall, the cast’s performance was awesome. Nicholas Cage thrives in offbeat roles and this one is no exemption. Christopher “Mc Lovin” Mintz-Plasse’s role as Red Mist is a fresh take outside his underachieving geek roles.
Action wise, the body count was decent enough for an action movie and the way they got killed was simply awesome. My verdict? Highly recommended.
