We live in a world where everything we do not need gets thrown into the rubbish bin or worse gets stuck on the closet to be forgotten for years. Time is running out for us to shape up and face the responsibilities of minimizing our ecological footprint(or reduce waste in layman’s terms). There is this one cute girl from Paraguay that took matters into her own hands and started a website that breathes new life out of those discarded clothes and her name is Giannina Lezcano the owner of the website Giannyl.
In her website viewers are taught how to turn their outdated clothes into trendy and fashionable items. The few videos that I have seen showcased not only gave purpose to old clothes but also gave ways on how to make new accessories out of old things. Not only do we learn how to recycle we get to be treated to Giannyl modeling her creations.
Giannyl gives new meaning to the term eco-warrior as she never compromises saving the environment over fashion but gives us a fusion of both. All it takes are a set of rudimentary skills and we too can follow on her footsteps.
